Mario Ramos Jr., grew up in Douglas, Arizona. He is the oldest of six siblings. He comes from a long family with several generations of military service and mining careers.

Mario went to Colorado School of Trades for gunsmithing. This is where he learned all the tricks of the trade and made a few good friends. One area that really sparked his interest was machining. So when Mario completed the Colorado School of Trades, he sought out an apprentice job as a machinist. This job required him to attend the Emily Griffith Technical College for machining. Mario completed the classes and had hopes of staying in Colorado until the apprentice job went out of business. Mario made the decision to come back to Tucson and start his family. Once in Tucson, Mario went to work for Sargent Control & Aerospace, where he spent the next 14 years working in various departments. The more he learned about various machinery and different processes and procedures, he learned how he could apply some of these techniques to his gunsmith business.

Mario does all his own work, plus he has subcontracted to other gun stores and pawn shops to complete their projects. He does bluing, parkerize, cerakote, gun repair custom work,, conversions and manufacturing. Mario takes in work that was attempted by others and usually finds a way to get the job done.
